Alisdair McKay is an associate professor in the department of economics at Boston University and joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as a research consultant in 2017. He received his Ph.D. and masters degree in economics from Princeton University and his bachelors degree in economics from Columbia University. His work has been published in the Journal of Monetary Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica, and other top-tier journals. McKay’s primary area of research focuses on the macroeconomic implications of economic inequality.
