Ph.D. Candidate in Economics
Ratib M. Ali is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Boston College, studying competition in the airline industry. His thesis studies the merger between US Airways and American Airlines and antitrust issues associated with it. In a separate work, he investigates airlines' compliance of congestion-related regulations and its effects on competition. Ali is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he completed his undergraduate degree in economics from Brac University. He is a former World Universities Debating Champion.
