Mario Leccese is an assistant professor of strategy and innovation at Questrom School of Business at Boston University. His research lies at the intersection of industrial organization and the economics of innovation. He studies how established incumbents, innovative entrants, and financial intermediaries interact through minority investments and acquisitions, and how these interactions shape both competition and innovation. A central focus of his work is the role of antitrust and other public policies in shaping these dynamics. Leccese received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in economics from Bocconi University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
