Timothy J. Bartik is a senior economist at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, a nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization. He co-directs the Institute’s research initiative on policies for place. Bartik received his B.A. from Yale University in political philosophy and M.S. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
