Office of Management and Budget
Amy Batchelor is a program examiner in the Medicaid branch at the Office of Management and Budget and an adjunct instructor at the Columbia University School of Social Work. At OMB, her portfolio has covered the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor, the Corporation for National and Community Service, and paid leave policy. She was responsible for the formulation of portions of the President’s Budget related to her portfolio, managing programs, and providing policy and regulatory analyses; particularly related to family and medical leave, minimum wage, and overtime policy. Prior to joining the Federal government, Batchelor was a research associate at the National Academies supporting a consensus study related to family caregiving for older adults. She holds a B.A. in international affairs from George Washington University and a master’s in social work from Columbia University.
