Megan E. Rivera is a fellow for policy and advocacy at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth and was 2024–2025 Siegel Research Fellow. Prior to joining Equitable Growth, she was a senior policy analyst at the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality. Rivera previously served as the policy and outreach advisor on the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth. Previously, she served in research, policy, and advocacy roles for the University of Virginia’s Department of Politics, its Global Policy Center, and its Equity Center, as well as the Texas House of Representatives. Rivera holds a B.S. in political science with honors from the University of Houston and a master of public policy from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
