Jialan Wang is Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois’ Geis College of Business. Her research interests include household finance, entrepreneurship, and behavioral economics. Previously, she served as an economist at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, from 2012 to 2016, and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania in 2014. She was Assistant Professor of Finance at Olin Business School Washington University in St. Louis from 2010 to 2012. Wang received her Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010 and her B.S. in Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology in 2003.
