Lily Roberts is the vice president for policy and programs at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. Prior to joining Equitable Growth, she served as the managing director of the economic policy team at the Center for American Progress. Over her 7 years at CAP, she led teams focused on anti-poverty policy, women’s issues, and economic policy. Her work covered a wide range of issues, including the minimum wage, policy responses to COVID-19, fighting cuts to food assistance and health care, the Black-White wealth gap, and family economic security. Prior to CAP, she evaluated anti-poverty policy at Mathematica Policy Research. Roberts has a degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University and was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
